The Annapurna area was opened to foreign trekkers in 1977. The Annapurna Circuit is a trek within the mountain ranges of central Nepal. The total length of the route varies between 160–230 km (100-145 mi), depending on where motor transportation is used and where the trek is ended.

Poon Hill + Annapurna Base Camp trek, is also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. This trek offers a complete package of mountain adventure for travelers wanting to conquer the Annapurna Region. The trek goes through the Ghorepani Poon Hill route and then reaches Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trek, passing through Machhapuchhre Base Camp (MBC) surrounded by local villages with local culture.

The trek overall is authentic, exotic beautiful and gives you a very up close experience with Annapurna and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges. It is especially beautiful during spring as rhododendron flowers along the trail turn red, pink and white.

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Kathmandu (1300mtrs)

Day 02:  Kathmandu valley sightseeing and trek preparation.

Day 03:  Kathmandu – Pokhara (880/2 900ft), 6-7 hrs drive.

Day 04:  Pokhara – Nayapul (1070mtrs) – Hile (1510mtrs), 75 min drive, 2½-3 hrs walk.

Day 05:  Hile – Ghorepani (2870mtrs), 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 06:  Ghorepani – Poon hill (3210mtrs) – Tadapani (2630mtrs), 6-7 hrs walk.

Day 07:  Tadapani – Chhomrong (2210mtrs), 4-5 hrs walk.

Day 08:  Chhomrong – Himalaya Hotel (2840mtrs), 6-7 hrs walk.

Day 09:  Himalaya Hotel – Annapurna BC (4 130mtrs), 6-7 hrs walk.

Day 10:  Annapurna BC – Bamboo (2310mtrs), 5-6 hrs walk.

Day 11:  Bamboo – Jhinu Danda (1750mtrs), 4-5 hrs walk.

Day 12:  Jhinu Danda – Pothana (1990mtrs), 6-7 hrs walk.

Day 13:  Pothana – Dhampus Phedi (1130mtrs) – Pokhara (880mtrs), 2-3 hrs walk or25 min drive.

Day 14:  Pokhara – Kathmandu (1300mtrs), 25 min flight.

Day 15:  Final Departure Transfer to International Airport for your flight connection for onward flight.
